Barramundi
Barramundi is an Australian wine brand launched in 1990 with two blends and labels designed by artist Ken Done, which quickly became a distinctive hallmark. Two years after its debut in Australia, Barramundi wines reached the United Kingdom, embarking on an international journey that made them recognizable in many markets.
Today Barramundi is part of Qualia Wines, a winery based in Irymple, in the state of Victoria, whose wines are distributed in over 35 markets worldwide and are all vegan-friendly. The brand has refreshed its image to convey a fun, friendly Australia brimming with a spirit of adventure.
The grapes come from the Murray Darling region in Victoria, where two of Australia’s largest rivers meet. A dry, sunny growing season, combined with a steady water supply for the vineyards, yields ripe, fruit-laden grapes that form the basis of fruit-forward, easy-drinking wines.
The range includes the main international varieties: among the whites, Chardonnay, Chardonnay Viognier and Pinot Grigio; among the reds, Shiraz, Shiraz Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Wines with ripe, generous fruit, crafted to accompany everyday cooking, moments of relaxation and social occasions.
A casual spirit, approachable quality and Australia’s sunshine in the glass make Barramundi the ideal choice for those looking for Australian wines that are easy to love.
