Château Brane-Cantenac
Château Brane-Cantenac is a Grand Cru Classé of the Margaux appellation, in the heart of the Médoc. The heart of the estate is the celebrated Brane gravel plateau, considered one of the finest terroirs of Bordeaux, where the vines encircle an unassuming château that is first and foremost a family home.
The estate’s vision, carried forward by Henri Lurton, is clear: act with conviction and without compromise, putting every decision at the service of a single goal—to obtain the best possible wine from this extraordinary terroir. In the cellar, every stage of vinification is approached with the utmost precision, always in harmony with the vineyard’s character.
An in-depth analysis of the soils made it possible to divide the vineyard into several "terraces" formed in different eras. The grand vin Château Brane-Cantenac is born from the plateau, on terrace 4, which yields rich, dense fruit and structured tannins suited to long-term aging; Baron de Brane, on the other hand, comes from terraces 5 and 3, with elegant fruit that is pleasurable even in its youth.
Rigor, precision, and respect for the terroir make Château Brane-Cantenac one of the most authentic expressions of Margaux.
