Inama
On the gentle Veronese hills of the municipality of San Bonifacio, stands the Inama winery, a reference point, for over twenty years, in the production of excellent wines of the Italian wine scene. The idea of the founder Giuseppe Inama was to make known the territory of Soave, whose image has been very tarnished for years, through a fine interpretation of the Sauvignon which, grown for the first time in this land, had managed to give life to an entirely new version of the French variety. Thus was born, in 1991, the Classico Vulcaia Sauvignon, from which the fermented version in wood that takes the name of Vulcaia Fumé, appreciated immediately thanks to its fatness and the component of citrus, tropical fruit and coffee.
Sauvignon del Veneto IGT Vulcaia Fumé 2022 Inama
Vulcaia Fumé is a wine produced with the aim of making the Soave area known through an interpretation of Sauvignon. This one-of-a-kind wine is made from 100% Sauvignon grapes grown at an altitude of 150 meters above sea level on lava basalt soils.
Winemaking begins with manual harvesting, once in the cellar, the bunches are cooled for a few hours and then destemmed. This is followed by cold maceration for 3-6 hours, after which the must undergoes alcoholic fermentation in French oak barriques wit...

Vulcaia was, together with Vulcaia Fumé, the first wine from the Inama winery. It is produced in the Soave Classico vineyards, particularly in the area at the foot of Monte Foscarino. Given the volcanic soil in which the vines were planted, Vulcaia appears to be a particular expression of Sauvignon which here, in the Soaves area, loses the typical varietal notes to make room for a completely new version of the French variety.
Fermentation and refinement on the fine lees take place in steel.

This Veneto red wine combines Carmènére and Merlot grapes, grown at an altitude between 50 and 150 meters above sea level, on soils of red clay and marine limestone, with southern exposure.
