Kim Crawford
In 1996 Kim Crawford and his wife Erica, young and passionate wine lovers, decide to buy a small company in the Marlborough region. The first production is 4000 cases: the production is modest, but of great potential. Not many years have passed since the international press enthusiastically celebrated the excellence of Sauvignon Blanc 2003. Today Kim Crawford is one of the most famous New Zealand wineries in the world!
Kim Crawford chooses exceptional, mainly coastal sites for her vineyards. The grapes benefit from long days, clean sea breezes and cool nights during the summer, and a dry and long autumn that allows the slow ripening of the grapes, which allows them to develop the intensity of the flavor and develop a sophisticated acidity.
In these places, not far from the landscapes of the cinematic "middle earth", his Sauvignon Blanc is born, with particular fruity aromas reminiscent of passion fruit, and his Pinot Noir, with an unusual freshness that makes it perfect for the summer. Serve them fresh with summer vegetable dishes, grilled fish, Asian recipes full of taste or enjoy them as an aperitif: you will surely make a good impression!
