Rocca delle Macie

Two very successful film productions, We loved each other so much and They called us Trinità are the starting point of the history of Rocca delle Macie , which began in 1973, when Italo Zingarelli decided to fulfill his life's dream by purchasing the 'Le Macìe' estate ' (93 hectares of which two are planted with vineyards) to create a winery in the heart of Chianti Classico. In fact, it is also thanks to the success at the box office of the successful 'Western beans' genre that Zingarelli managed to fulfill his dream of buying the land and creating a winery. To do this he chose the Le Macìe hill in Castellina in Chianti, one of the three historic municipalities of Chianti Classico, of which he soon became a faithful interpreter with his wines.

Today the company has around 500 hectares, of which over 200 are planted with vineyards and around 22 with olive groves, in a vast estate which gives life to peculiar wines, such as Riserva di Fizzano, Chianti Classico Riserva and Chianti Classico Famiglia Zingarelli: three extraordinarily elegant red wines that will make you discover the pleasure of drinking well, or rather, very well!
