The rating system assigned overall and style-specific scores, offering an accurate overview of the best beers globally. In 2019, RateBeer was acquired by ZX Ventures, a division of Anheuser-Busch InBev, while still maintaining its role as a reference for discovering labels and producers of excellence. After over twenty years of activity, the site announced its permanent closure on February 1, 2025, leaving an indelible legacy in the world of craft and international beer.
