Among the most advanced wine regions in Europe, Alsace can boast a most important naturalistic, landscape and historical heritage in the world . Land of great charm and history, here, the sun warms vineyards that give juicy grapes and from the vineyards that descend from the Vosges mountains and reach almost to the banks of the Rhine, you get every wonderful wine , which never ceases to amaze and excite. Alsatian wines owe their characteristics, which determined their success, to two fundamental factors: the exceptional climatic conditions and the conformation of the soils . Not only very low rainfall but also the presence of the Vosges mountains that shelter from the winds coming from the Atlantic Ocean. Among granite, sandy, volcanic, clayey, marly and limestone sediments, in Alsace almost exclusively white berried grapes are grown, among the most aromatic ones such as Gewürztraminer and Riesling with which the most prestigious wines of the region are produced. But not only: excellent results are also obtained with Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay , introduced in recent times and mainly used for the production of Crémant d'Alsace. The wines produced in the Alsace region are all recognized by the French quality system "Appellation d'Origine Côntrolée", briefly defined with the abbreviation AOC. Try them and you will thank us.
