Amarone is one of the most appreciated red wines in Italy. Produced exclusively in Valpolicella, in the province of Verona, it is typically obtained from a blend of native red grape varieties: Corvina Veronese, or alternatively Corvinone, Rondinella and possibly other red grape varieties. Close relative of Recioto wine, unlike this it completes the alcoholic fermentation in full, giving light to a dry and structured wine, complex and elegant.

With a deep red color, Amarone releases aromas of ripe fruit, black cherry and raspberry on the nose. A wine for long aging, it can develop notes of moss and tar in the more advanced stages. Warm, invigorating and vigorous, Amarone is the perfect companion for winter dishes, such as braised meats, roasts, game and mature cheeses. How could it be missing from the holiday table?
