Benito Ferrara
The Benito Ferrara company was founded in the 1950s, although the family's roots boast a tradition spanning over a century in the field of viticulture. The estate includes land with a high wine vocation that extends from the municipality of Tufo, in the small Campanian hamlet of San Paolo to the municipality of Montemiletto, areas particularly suited to the cultivation of the two indigenous vines: Greco di Tufo and Aglianico.
To date, the reins of the company are in the hands of Gabriella Ferrara, daughter of the founder, and of her husband Sergio who, with utmost care and dedication, create excellent quality wines, renowned and appreciated all over the world. Dry and pleasantly aromatic white wines are those of Benito Ferrara, among which the prestigious Greco di Tufo Vigna Cicogna stands out which, in the 2015 vintage, was awarded the Three Glasses Gambero Rosso, the Three Stars Veronelli and the 5 Grappoli Bibenda. . Waiting to find out if the new vintage will have again achieved the highest awards next autumn, a limited number of bottles of the award-winning 2015 vintage are still available on VINO75.
