Valpantena winery

The presence of the vine is attested in Valpantena since the times of the Cimbri and the Romans; Valpantena means, in ancient Greek, "Valley of all the gods", an etymology that in the popular Veronese culture has taken on the meaning of "Valley of all wines" . A solid reality, which today groups around 250 farms, Cantina Valpantena now consists of more than 750 hectares of vineyards , treated with care and reared in full respect for the environment. The range consists of a Ripasso and two Amarone , as in the most beautiful Veronese traditions: the first, a wine of character, with its aromas of cherry and undergrowth, does not look out of place even in front of Torre del Falasco, the top label of the winery . A reinterpretation of Torre del Falasco Amarone, it is Amphora , in memory of the ancient Roman custom of storing wine in an amphora for aging in which the favorite wine of the Emperor Augustus was aged. Bardolino and Corvina Veronese are not lacking: wines tested by ancient Romans.
