Piper-Heidsieck - Twist the Script

An Champagne whose name is a guarantee for many, proven by royal families and great stars who have made Hollywood history. It is directly guaranteed by Queen Marie Antoinette, who became the first brand ambassador of the house, thanks to a bottle of this precious Champagne given to her in 1785 by its creator, the determined and self-taught Florens-Louis Heidsieck. Upon Florens-Louis's death in 1828, his nephew Christian Heidsieck became a partner of Henri-Guillaume Piper, a man with a great sense of business: this was the period when 14 royal houses certified the Maison as their official supplier. But it was Marilyn Monroe who consecrated it to the Olympus of myths, when, with her typically graceful and elegant manner, she claimed: “I go to bed with just a drop of Chanel no.5 and wake up with a glass of Piper-Heidsieck”.

Alongside the Cuvée Brut (90 pts Parker and 92 pts W.S.), considered by critics to be among the best in its category, we find the Blanc de Blancs Essentiel (93 pts W.E) and the Brut Vintage 2014 (94 pts W.E.), a perfect blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, born from 12 different crus, of which 2/3 are Grand and Premier Cru, with maturation on the lees for 5 years, and a further 12 months of rest after disgorgement.
