Chapoutier

The adventure of the Chapoutier family began in 1808 , when Monsieur Polydor Chapoutier, their ancestor, decided to start wine production in the Rhône Valley , the second region in the world for the production of quality wines.

In the 1950s the company was managed by Max Chapoutier until his retirement in 1977, the year in which his sons Marc and Michel took over. To the excellent canonical productions, the just 24 year old Michel Chapoutier , contrasted a new, revolutionary vision, totally devoted to respect for nature and grapes , in the first place. He managed to enhance biological practices, with audacity, to obtain wines that were the most faithful expression of their parcel of origin.

The meticulous care and respect for the terroir have allowed this exceptional Maison to reach important milestones, especially in the 2015 record year , in which 9 Chapoutier wines were awarded 100 cents by Robert Parker , a result that the following year earned him the recognition of the most admired French company in the world for the magazine Drinks International.
