Giuseppe Sedilesu's adventure begins about 40 years ago , when the founder, with his wife Grazia, now over eighty years old, bought the first hectare of land in Mamoida , in Barbagia.

Mamoiada is not only the country of the Mamuthones, the ancient local carnival mask, but above all one of the areas most suited to the cultivation of Cannonau . Here, on hills of granite origin, at an average altitude of 700 meters above sea level, with a climate characterized by scarce rains, a dry summer and marked temperature excursions in the months of September and October, the vine develops characteristics that give the wine elegance and predisposition to long aging .

Giuseppe Sedilesu's wines receive important awards this year from national food and wine critics: Cannonau "Mamuthone" wins the Tre Bicchieri del Gambero Rosso and is elected "Slow Wine" for the Slow Wine guide; while Perda Pintà Sulle Bucce is awarded with 5 Bunches from Bibenda and included in the ranking of 100 wines to be preserved according to L'Espresso .
