Baron de Ladoucette is one of the oldest, most historic and best known wineries in the Loire which produces some of the best Sauvignon Blanc in the world.Baron de Ladoucette wines have always been considered a symbol of elegance and absolute excellence.
The history of the winery has its roots in 1787, when the Comte Lafond family buys the vineyards of Pouilly-Fumé at Chateau du Nozet, the largest property in Pouilly, from the illegitimate daughter of the King of France, Louis XV. The company is run today by Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, a descendant of the Comte Lafond.
The fame of Baron de Ladoucette is consecrated with the noble Pouilly-Fumé Baron de L, universally recognized as the best Sauvignon in the world, a wine pearl with great finesse and amplitude in perfumes. The name Comte Lafond, on the other hand, is carried high in the whites Sancerre which it creates following principles of excellence and extreme elegance. The principles of all the domaines are based on respect for the grapes and the terroir, enhanced by parcels vinified separately, with meticulous attention to each individual cru.
