Although the first traces of the presence in Irpinia date back to the Bourbon land register of the mid-eighteenth century, it was with the registration at the Avellino Chamber of Commerce in 1878 that Mastroberardino's activity officially began.

A family business at the helm of which over ten generations have followed without interruption, Mastroberardino is recognized as the company that has worked to enhance the native vines of Irpinia and Campania. The family estates are located in the area which is the cradle of three great DOCGs: Greco di Tufo, Fiano di Avellino and Taurasi, of which the company is one of the most authoritative interpreters.

The crown jewel of the company's production is the Taurasi "Radici" , a wine that is the result of long research, produced since 1986 from a cru in the Montemarano area, whose Reserve has received some of the most prestigious awards at national and international level over the years.
