Born in 1995, but with a long tradition passed down through 17 generations , Planeta represents not only one, but six ways of expressing the Sicilian territory . In fact, there are many estates in which wine is produced, each with its own specific research and enhancement project.

The history of the company begins between Menfi and Sambuca di Sicilia, more precisely in the district of Ulmo , on the shores of Lake Arancio, where in the mid-80s the first vineyards were planted around the 16th-century baglio owned by the family . It is here, and in the nearby Dispensa estate, that the wines of "daily good drinking" , such as the "Segreta" Bianco and Rosso, the territorial wines such as Nero d'Avola "Plumbago" and Sicily "Alastro" are born, the Syrah "Maroccoli" vineyard and the award-winning super cru and Menfi Fiano "Cometa" and Menfi Chardonnay , which have become a symbol of the company, as well as the change of Sicily in wine.
