The hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene , a succession of gentle slopes that embroider the landscape, have been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019. This simply wonderful territory is a place where viticulture has ancient origins . The first written source that mentions Prosecco dates back to 1772, while the DOC was established in 1969. Two of the fifteen municipalities that represent the beating heart of the area, Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, give their name to this prized wine.

Landscape and man are inextricably linked: the vine here is often grown in "heroic viticulture" , among the steep slopes of the hills, making Prosecco a "handmade" wine.
