A land of winemaking tradition since ancient times, Piedmont produces great wines on its hills and in the Alpine and pre-Alpine areas. Together with Tuscany, it is the Italian wine region that produces some of the most prized red wines in the world such as Barolo, which, in its best expressions, is known as a refined, elegant and long-lived wine.>
