Tenute Silvio Nardi is one of those companies that made the history of Brunello di Montalcino . It was in fact the year 1950 when Silvio Nardi, an Umbrian entrepreneur, purchased the first estate of Casale del Bosco in Montalcino, effectively becoming one of the first "foreigners" to understand the real potential of the territory of Montalcino , a country that was at the time unknown. After producing the first bottle of Brunello in 1958, four years later he decided to take over a second farm, the Tenuta di Manachiara, near Castelnuovo dell'Abate.
Two estates, two sides, two different terroirs : Casale del Bosco, located to the west, where Brunello's "Poggio Doria" precious cru is born, offers elegant and complex wines ; Manachiara, positioned to the east, offers structured and powerful wines .
