The first month of 2018 confirms a trend already observed in the past year: Primitivo is the main grape among the reds. Seven wines out of fifty, of our ranking, from the Five Autochthones of Fantini Farnese , which contains a small percentage, to the wines of Lo Martire, San Marzano and Vespa , which vinify it in purity, are in fact based on this variety. After Puglia are Valpolicella and Bolgheri the other two most popular wine areas , present with six and five bottles respectively. As a growing phenomenon, the entry of two Bonarda labels among the most loved wines of the month should be noted.
