Description
The Blanquette de Limoux Brut by Paul G. Valentin is a French sparkling wine produced in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, within the Limoux appellation, the historical cradle of the first sparkling wines. Made mainly from Mauzac grapes, complemented by small percentages of Chardonnay and Chenin, it authentically expresses the character of the territory, combining tradition and freshness in a lively and distinctive style.
The grapes are handpicked and gently pressed to extract the finest musts, which ferment separately at low temperatures in stainless steel. The second fermentation occurs following the traditional method, followed by an aging on the lees that helps develop aromatic complexity, elegance of the perlage, and a balanced structure.
On the nose, it stands out for its fresh and fruity aromas, with notes of green apple, citrus, and delicate floral hints, complemented by subtle nuances of almond. On the palate, it is fresh, balanced, and lively, featuring fine bubbles and a pleasant acidity that adds vibrancy and drinkability. The finish is harmonious and persistent, with a clean and fragrant closure.
Perfect as an aperitif, it pairs excellently with light starters, seafood, and delicate fish dishes.
