Description

What kind of wine is it

Animo Friulano by Le Vigne di Zamò is a still white wine with a fresh, saline profile that captures in the bottle the identity of Friulano, a historic native grape of the region. It comes from the blending of four different parcels, chosen to bring together in a single wine the nuances of the individual vineyards. The result is a balanced, refined white, conceived to authentically express the varietal character.

Where it comes from

The grapes come from four parcels in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, an area renowned for producing great whites in Italy’s northeast. Le Vigne di Zamò interprets this terroir with an approach aimed at harmonizing the characteristics of each individual vineyard. Here, Friulano finds an ideal environment to develop freshness and aromatic finesse, which are reflected in the finished wine.

How it is made

The Friulano grapes are hand-harvested and pressed whole under nitrogen, a choice that preserves freshness and aromatic integrity. The must ferments in stainless steel at controlled temperature to retain pristine aromas. The wine then remains for about six months on its lees, still in steel and without racking, before the blending of the different parcels and bottling.

Tasting notes

In the glass it shows a straw-yellow color with greenish highlights. The nose is fresh and fragrant, with typical herbal nuances accompanied by notes of white-fleshed fruit. On the palate it is fresh, saline and balanced, and it closes with a pleasant citrusy finish that underscores its vibrancy.

What to pair it with

Excellent as an aperitif, paired with prosciutto and cured meats. At the table it goes well with soups, risottos, pasta and white meats, and shows best with fish-based dishes, where freshness and salinity make a natural match.

When to serve it

With its lively, refreshing drinkability, this is a white suited to many occasions, from aperitif to a seafood dinner. Best enjoyed in a medium-sized white wine glass, which enhances its fragrance and citrusy finish. A practical choice for those seeking a Friulian white with a recognizable varietal character and a well-balanced palate.
