Description

What kind of wine is it

Maremma Toscana Rosso Albatrello produced by Sassoregale in the heart of Southern Maremma, a region characterized by medium-textured soils with the presence of clay and stones. This wine is born from a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, expressing a perfect balance between Tuscan tradition and international varieties, with a rich, modern and territorial style.

Where it comes from

This wine originates in Maremma in Tuscany, an area with unspoiled nature that strongly shapes its wine production. The land offers a direct and vibrant expression to the grapes. The identity of the bottle reflects the soul of its place of origin and ensures an intense character and a determined stride typical of the area.

How it is produced

The grapes are harvested by hand at full ripeness and fermented in steel with a maceration of about ten days, during which pumping over, punching down and delestage are carried out. After an initial period in steel, the wine continues maturation in wood: the Sangiovese in large casks and cement tanks, while the international varieties are refined in French oak barriques. After about a year, the final blending takes place to achieve harmony and balance.

Tasting notes

It shows an intense ruby red color and a complex bouquet of wild berries and pomegranate, enriched by notes of white pepper, sweet spices, medicinal herbs and balsamic hints. On the palate, it is juicy and dynamic, with vibrant tannins and a pleasant saltiness that supports a balanced structure, finishing with nuances of vanilla, juniper and licorice.

Food pairings

It naturally pairs with grilled meat, as its structure supports the intense flavors resulting from grilling. It pairs perfectly with pasta with ragù, tasty vegetarian dishes, roasts and braised meat. It is the ideal choice for bistecca alla fiorentina and rustic local dishes.

When to serve

This red wine enhances moments of conviviality and is the ideal option for those seeking a full-bodied sip and a distinct character at the table. It is at its best during informal lunches and dinners, especially when the menu includes roasts or cheeses. Its nature also makes it a reliable companion for outdoor barbecues in good company.
