Description
What kind of wine is it
Tre di Tre di Lupo Meraviglia is a red from Puglia made from Primitivo, Aglianico and Negroamaro. It is structured and concentrated, with a fruit-driven profile and a silky tannic texture. Vinification by saignée maximizes extraction from the skins to ensure intensity. Aging shapes a mature style in which spicy notes balance the palate.
Where it comes from
The roots of this red lie in Puglia and find their expression in Salento. The strong bond with Lecce emerges from the label depicting the iconic city coat of arms with a wolf and a holm oak, near a masseria. This clear geographical imprint forges a wine with an intense, distinctive character. The territory enhances the interplay of these three local varieties and yields a harmonious blend in which regional identity stands out with conviction.
How it is made
Production relies on the saignée method, an age‑old practice aimed at increasing phenolic extraction. After crushing Primitivo, Aglianico and Negroamaro, the must in contact with the skins is partially drawn off to concentrate matter and color in the main liquid. A targeted cellar aging follows, smoothing the edges and shaping the aromatic profile. This step provides substance, delivering a wine with a solid structural framework.
Tasting notes
To the eye it shows a deep ruby‑red color, an indication of marked concentration. The nose offers ripe fruit and jam aromas, crossed by pleasing sweet and spicy nuances. On the palate it is structured and tactile, remaining consistent with the aromatic spectrum. The palate texture is supported by silky tannins, well integrated into the wine, closing with a harmonious, long and remarkably composed finish.
Food pairings
Its decisive structure makes it the perfect partner for savory first courses, as it stands up well to rich sauces. It finds its ideal match alongside braised red meats, which echo and enhance its spicy trail. The fine tannin weave superbly elevates any roast preparation, such as beef enriched with its roasting juices. The fruity notes marry the intensity of bolder recipes, offering a complete and gratifying pairing.
When to serve it
This blend is excellent when you want to accompany hearty, convivial meals. It easily pairs with intense recipes and roasted mains thanks to its dense palate and polished tannins. Aging gives it an aromatic silhouette that is already accessible, but to enjoy it fully we recommend serving it in large‑bowled glasses. A measured prior aeration favors the opening of spicy and fruity notes, ensuring a clear‑cut, expressive and always rewarding drink.
