Description
The Tuscan red wine Due from Tenuta di Carleone is produced from vineyards located in Radda in Chianti, in the province of Siena. Tenuta di Carleone was founded in 2012 by Karl Egger, who, with the help of his friend Sean O'Callaghan, makes wines following the principles of biodynamic agriculture and low-intervention winemaking.
The wine is made from Sangiovese grapes with a small addition of Merlot. Fermentation takes place in cement tanks, with maceration lasting 40-60 days. The aging process lasts 18 months, with 10% of the wine aged in tonneau, and the rest in steel and cement tanks.
Ruby red in color, it reveals aromas of juicy fresh fruit, enriched by floral and spicy notes. The palate is warm and full, with fine tannins and excellent persistence.
It pairs very well with grilled red meat.
