Description
Alix is a tribute to the town of Alice Bel Colle and its finest Barbera vineyards, bearing the name by which the town was known in ancient times.
Fermentation takes place in wooden vats, after which the wine matures for 12 months in large French oak barrels and barriques. After the assembly follows ageing in bottle of 12 months.
In the glass it appears ruby red with garnet reflections. The olfactory bouquet is broad and complex, with hints ranging from ripe red fruit, to violet, to spices. The sip is warm and balanced, satisfying and harmonious.
It can be appreciated with first courses with meat sauce, game and aged cheeses.
