Description

Barbera d'Alba GB Burlotto is a wine produced mainly in the municipalities of Verduno and Roddi, where it expresses the essence of its territory. The vineyards are located on calcareous soils with a balanced presence of clay, silt and sand.

Winemaking begins with manual harvesting which allows for a careful selection of the grapes. After destemming, the must is transferred to open French oak vats and stainless steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation. During maceration, daily pumping over and punching down are carried out, followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless steel and refinement in large French oak barrels.

The color is an intense ruby red; while on the nose this Barbera d'Alba presents a bouquet rich in red fruit and spicy notes. On the palate it is fresh and lively, with a pleasant acidity that enhances its structure.

This wine is perfect to pair with Piedmontese cuisine, such as starters based on cured meats and cheeses, risottos and meat main courses.
