Description

Prinsi's Barbera d'Alba Superiore Much was born on the hills of Neive, in the Langhe. The farm has now existed for 3 generations, since the 1940s, when Ottavio Lequio began producing wine. The company mainly grows Nebbiolo grapes in vineyards located in the Barbaresco crus Gaia Principe, Gallina, Fausoni and Basarin.

The Barbera grapes are destemmed and pressed, to then be vinified with maceration in thermo-controlled steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in wood. The wine ages 18 months partly in oak barrels, partly in large barrels.

Ruby red in color, it expresses aromas of small red fruits and spices on the nose. The sip is pleasant and balanced, with good persistence.

Ideal in combination with mixed cured meat appetizers, first courses and mature cheeses.
