Description

Barbera d'Asti Superiore Nizza La Crena was born in vineyards located on the hills of Agliano d'Asti, in Piedmont, and planted in 1932.

It is produced exclusively with Barbera grapes, fermented in open steel vats, with a mechanical fulling system, de-aging and numerous pumping over in the air, at a temperature between 26 and 32 ° C. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation, the wine is placed in barriques for malolactic fermentation, then it is refined in barriques and barrels for about 16 months before being bottled without filtration.

Barbera La Crena is a ruby red wine. The nose opens with hints of ripe and concentrated fruit, among which stand out notes of red blackberries and cherries and a pleasant hint of toasted spices.

Perfect to accompany first courses based on vegetables and aged cheeses, this wine is ideal in combination with stewed meats, poultry seasoned with rich sauces, game and roasts.
