Description

Barolo Gattera di Cordero di Montezemolo comes from the Nebbiolo grapes from the Gattera vineyard, in the municipality of La Morra, in the province of Cuneo.

It is produced with grapes of the Nebbiolo variety in purity, harvested at perfect maturity between the end of September and that of October. The vinification takes place in steel and subsequently the wine is aged for 18 months in wooden barrels, with a further stop in glass for 18 months before its marketing.

Barolo Gattera is ruby red in color with garnet hues. It has evident notes of rose, raspberry, spices, tobacco and cocoa on the nose. The sip is full-bodied and elegant, with fine tannins and a long finish.

It pairs well with truffle dishes and game.
