Description

Historical brand of the Langhe, which for over a century has been cultivating vineyards on the hills of this wonderful corner of Piedmont. Mascarello wines represent the traditional face of the territory and are among the most highly rated of all. It is the maximum expression of the Monprivato di Castiglione Falletto cru, made with the best grapes harvested and selected in the Ca 'd'Morissio vineyard, which has always been among the most suitable in the area.

After a long fermentation with maceration on the skins, the wine matures for at least 40 months in large Slavonian oak barrels.

It is a Barolo with an ancient charm and a complex and austere face. In the glass it has a garnet color and reveals aromas of morello cherry, currant, cherry, floral hints and elegant spicy notes. Powerful and deep, it has lively tannins and a remarkable gustatory persistence.

To be paired with braised meat in red wine and stews.
