Description
The Calabria Rosso Gravello from Librandi originates in the eponymous vineyard at Tenuta Arcidiaconato in Strongoli.
It is made from Gaglioppo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested exclusively by hand during the first ten days of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 15 days. The wine then ages for 12 months in Allier barriques and a further 6 months in bottle before release.
It shows an intense ruby-red color with garnet highlights. On the nose it opens with intense aromas of red fruits, cherries and currants, enriched by pleasantly sweet notes of dried figs and chocolate. On the palate it is dry, pleasantly smooth and warm, with a fruity finish.
Perfect to accompany meat ragù and game dishes, it is ideal with stews, roasts and aged cheeses.
