Description
Librandi's Megonio comes from vineyards located in the Cirò and Val di Neto area, on the slopes of the Sila plateau.
It is made exclusively from Magliocco grapes, hand-harvested during the first ten days of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature with 15 days of maceration. Afterwards, the wine ages for 12 months in barrique and a further 6 months in bottle.
It shows a ruby-red color. On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of cherries and plums, enriched by pleasant spicy notes. On the palate, it is balanced, pleasantly warm, with a plum-tinged finish.
Perfect with pasta dishes with meat ragù and risottos, it is ideal with game, roasts and stews.
