Description

Robert Mondavi Pinot Noir California is a refined and vibrant red wine that authentically captures the allure of Californian Pinot Noir. Sourced from coastal vineyards influenced by Pacific breezes and ocean fog, this wine combines freshness, elegance, and aromatic intensity. Its expressive, approachable style highlights the fruit’s purity and the natural finesse of the varietal.

Vinification takes place in open stainless steel tanks with gentle punch-downs to promote a balanced extraction of aromas and color. After completing malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for several months in predominantly French oak barrels, some new, gaining complexity, harmony, and subtle spicy notes.

The bouquet opens with intense aromas of ripe cherry, raspberry, and small red berries, enhanced by spicy hints and delicate peppery nuances. On the palate, it is fresh, smooth, and flowing, with gentle tannins and an elegant structure that accompanies a dynamic and persistent sip. The finish recalls notes of red fruit and sweet spices with great balance.

Excellent paired with delicate cured meats, roasted poultry, seared tuna, mushrooms, savory first courses, and semi-mature cheeses.
