Description
Merlot Intenso by Família Salton is a dry red wine produced in the Campanha region of Brazil, with 100% Merlot grapes. This wine stands out for its elegance and intensity, offering a complex aromatic profile that combines freshness and softness.
The winemaking process involves destemming and gentle pressing of the grapes, avoiding breaking the seeds. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks, keeping the wine below 25°C to preserve its fruity and floral aromas. After fermentation, the wine undergoes spontaneous clarification, racking and filtration before being bottled.
In the glass it presents a bright ruby red color. On the nose, delicate aromas of plum and violet are perceived, accompanied by subtle notes of vanilla, chocolate and a hint of eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is balanced, with soft tannins and a pleasant and persistent finish.
It is an excellent match for medium-aged cheeses, cheese risottos, pizzas, stuffed pasta and red or grilled meats.
