Description
Carmignano Riserva Grumarello is produced by the Artimino winery with grapes grown in the municipality of Carmignano, in the province of Prato.
The wine is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah grapes, which are vinified in steel at a temperature of 25-26°C for at least 21 days. An aging of 24 months follows, in Slavonian oak barrels, after which the wine rests for another 12 months in the bottle.
Ruby red in color with garnet reflections, the wine opens with a bouquet of black fruits, tobacco, cloves and leather. The sip is full-bodied and harmonious, underlined by an excellent acid vein.
It is traditionally paired with red meats and roasted game.
