Description

The red wine Indie de Monbadon is produced by Che2teau de Monbadon in Bordeaux, which has been owned by the Barons of Monbadon since 1600. The wine is named after Indie de Monbadon, who in 1330 was granted permission by King Edward III to fortify the building, making it one of the last examples of military architecture in the Gironde. The wine is made within the Castillon Cf4tes de Bordeaux appellation, located 45 km from Bordeaux and mainly planted with Merlot grapes.

The Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes are vinified at a controlled temperature for 14-25 days in steel and amphora, with frequent pump-overs. 17% of the wine is then aged in 500-liter wooden barrels, the rest in steel and amphorae, where it remains for 6 months.

Ruby red in color, it reveals fruity aromas of cherry and wild strawberry on the nose. The palate is juicy, medium-bodied, and with fine tannins.

Perfect with red meats, roast pork loin, and aged cheeses.
