Description
The Champagne Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs 1er Cru Les Terres Fines from the Dhondt-Grellet maison is a refined expression of Chardonnay that rises in the heart of the Côte des Blancs.
The manual harvest is followed by fermentation both in steel and in oak barrels, with a subsequent blending with reserve wines and a refermentation in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method. The refinement continues for 25 months on the yeasts.
It has a straw yellow color and a fine and persistent perlage. Smoky notes emerge on the nose, of white flowers, pear and peach, which anticipate a full-bodied, fleshy and fresh palate. The finish is long and marked by intriguing notes of chalk, typical of the mineral expression of this terroir.
This champagne is particularly suitable for pairings with shellfish, fish main courses and risottos.
