Description

What kind of wine is it

This Blanc de Blancs is a Champagne Grand Cru produced by Laurier. Made from Chardonnay grapes from Mesnil-sur-Oger, it is born from a careful blend of reserve wines. Produced according to the Champenoise Method, it combines precision with a rich texture thanks to malolactic fermentation, which gives a soft profile and remarkable structure for aging.

Where does it come from

The origin of the wine lies in Champagne, in the village of Mesnil-sur-Oger, classified as a Grand Cru. In this area, ideal for Chardonnay, winemaking focuses on finesse and aromatic definition. The interpretation of the terroir favors freshness and a clear mineral imprint that delivers a linear expression.

How is it made

Production brings together Chardonnay grapes in a balanced blend of reserve wines. Vinification takes place in refrigerated tanks to preserve the aromas, followed by malolactic fermentation which integrates the acidity. The secondary fermentation using the Champenoise Method is combined with thirty-six months of lees aging, essential for imparting complexity and balance to the wine.

Tasting notes

It displays a brilliant gold color and an elegant, persistent bead. On the nose, it has a harmonious expression, characterized by a feeling of fullness and a distinct minerality that supports the aromatic profile. On the palate, it is soft and balanced, with a smooth progression to a fruity finish that prolongs the tasting experience.

Food pairings

Thanks to its balanced finesse and intensity, it naturally shines as an aperitif. At the table, it pairs wonderfully with raw or cooked oysters, and complements shellfish in a way that highlights their briny notes. Among the most classic pairings, a seafood platter is a recommended choice, while its freshness also makes it ideal with citrus-based desserts.

When to serve it

The bottle is ideal when seeking an elegant and well-defined profile, perfect for meals focused on raw seafood and maritime flavors. Its soft nature makes it immediately enjoyable and ensures balanced drinking. At the same time, the strong aging potential allows it to be preserved over time to develop new nuances—always to be enjoyed very well chilled.
