Description
The Chianti Classico of Castello di Uzzano was born in vineyards located on the hills of Greve in Chianti, Tuscany.
It is produced with pure Sangiovese grapes and the must is kept in fermentation for about 15 days, controlling and stabilizing the temperature at 20-22 ° C. The wine ages for at least one year in steel and cement tanks, to allow the complete development of the secondary aromas, then it is placed for 6 months in wooden barrels so that the development of the tertiary aromas is natural and non-aggressive, leaving the typical Sangiovese. Subsequently in wine it refines in bottle before being marketed.
This Chianti Classico is characterized by a lively ruby red color, tending to garnet with aging. The nose opens with intensely vinous hints and floral notes of violet; in the aging phase the perfumes take on a pronounced finesse character. The taste is harmonious and dry, sapid and slightly tannic, and it is refined with time becoming soft and velvety.
Due to its characteristics, this wine is perfect to accompany particularly structured and succulent dishes. Ideal in combination with red meats, such as the traditional Florentine steak, it is perfect to accompany seasoned cheeses and tasty first courses with meat-based dressings.
