Description

Tenuta di Carleone's Chianti Classico originates from vineyards located in Radda in Chianti, in the province of Siena. The Carleone estate was founded in 2012 by Karl Egger, who, with the help of his friend Sean O’Callaghan, produces wine following the principles of biodynamic agriculture and a low-intervention approach to winemaking.

The wine is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, which are fermented in open concrete and steel tanks for 40–60 days. This is followed by ageing in concrete and steel tanks for 18 months.

Ruby red in colour, it opens on the nose with typical scents of violet and red fruits such as cherry and red plum. The palate is dry and balanced, refined, and with a lingering finish.

Excellent with grilled meats, blue cheeses, and cotechino sausage.
