Côtes de Provence AOC Miraval Rosé 2023 Château Miraval
Description
Miraval Rosé is the first rosé wine to appear in the Top 100 of Wine Spectator, the result of the Jolie-Pitt couple's millionaire investment in Provençal terroir and the precious collaboration of the internationally renowned French winemaker Marc Perrin. The Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle and Syrah grapes come from the best plots located around the village of Correns, Muriers, Longue and Romarin, just north of Brignoles.
The harvest takes place in the coolest hours of the morning with double sorting. The vinification takes place with short maceration for all the varieties, except for the Syrah extracted with the "saignee" method from free-run must in the early stages of maceration destined for red vinification. Fermentation follows in steel tanks under controlled temperature conditions and for a small part in oak barrels.
It shines in the glass with a seductive, limpid and delicate pink dress. The olfactory profile focuses on fragrant and evocative aromas of orange peel and rosé grapefruit. The taste is inviting and fresh, with incomparable elegance, harmonious and delicate, an undisputed example of the exceptional Provençal terroir.
It is suitable as a refined aperitif or in the company of oysters and fish-based first courses.
