Description

The Cancellus Signature red wine is produced by the Vila Real winery, located in the district of the same name in the Douro Valley.

The wine comes from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz grapes harvested by hand, de-stemmed and pressed. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in thermo-regulated steel tanks, with prolonged maceration, while the malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, with subsequent short aging in both French and American oak barrels.

Intense ruby red color, aromas of ripe red fruit, plum and black currant are perceived on the nose. The taste is fresh, with ripe tannins and a good persistence.

Perfect with roast lamb and grilled steak.
