Description
What kind of wine is it?
Ferghettina's Brut Satèn is a Franciacorta made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. The winemaking follows the Classic Method, with the characteristic secondary fermentation in the bottle. This wine is distinguished by its creamy and precise style, offering a harmonious texture and composed mouthfeel supported by a delicate effervescence.
Where does it come from?
The grapes used for this wine come from twenty premium vineyards located in six municipalities of Franciacorta. This multi-parcel selection combines the best expressions of the area to ensure stylistic consistency. The cultivation of Chardonnay aims to achieve a refined and balanced profile, essential for the Satèn type.
How is it produced?
Harvesting takes place between August and early September. Only the free-run juice is extracted through gentle pressing for fermentation. In line with the Classic Method, the wine ages for twenty-four months on the lees. The process ends with a further two months of rest after disgorgement, a crucial stage for stabilizing the wine's profile.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it shows a bright yellow color, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage. The nose is delicate, with almond notes and pastry hints that create a clean bouquet. On the palate, the taste is pleasantly composed, marked by a subtle effervescence that makes each sip balanced and true to its style.
Food pairings
This Franciacorta pairs harmoniously with raw fish, sushi and sashimi, and naturally complements shellfish. Its delicate structure makes it well-suited to accompany crisp seafood tempura, enhancing its creaminess. It also pairs well with various delicate Italian dishes, where a clean finish is essential.
When to serve it
It is an excellent choice for an elegant aperitif or to accompany light dishes at the table without overpowering them. It proves ideal when seeking aromatic finesse and a subtle effervescence, especially in convivial settings and with seafood courses. Serve it well chilled to fully appreciate its fragrant character.
