Constantia WO Shiraz 2022 Groot Constantia Estate

Groot Constantia's Shiraz is produced in South Africa, in the Constantia area, from 100% Shiraz grapes.

The grapes are influenced by Atlantic sea breezes and ripen under a Mediterranean climate. After harvest, fermentation takes place in closed stainless-steel tanks, while a portion of whole clusters ferments in open-top stainless-steel tanks with manual pump-overs. The wine then ages for 12 months in barrels of varying ages and sizes.

Deep ruby red in color, it offers notes of black pepper, licorice and coriander. On the palate it is fresh, with slightly piquant, spicy tones, well tempered by its time in oak, delivering a streamlined sip, very fine tannins and a long finish.

Perfect with grilled lamb served with vegetables, and with first courses featuring white sauces.
