Description

The Lazio Hay of Ponza Rosso of the Antiche Cantine Migliaccio originates from the island of Ponza, facing the Gulf of Gaeta, in a context highly suited for the cultivation of the vine.

It is the result of a sophisticated blend of Piedirosso, Aglianico, Guernaccia Rossa and Nero d'Avola grapes, harvested exclusively by hand. After a short maceration, the must is fermented in steel with temperature control. Subsequently the wine is partially aged in French oak barrels for 12 months while the rest remains in steel until the day of assembly.

The Ponza Rosso Hay of the Antiche Cantine Migliaccio is dark ruby red in color. On the nose the olfactory spectrum is complex, opening with notes of black cherry and black fruits, accompanied by an exquisitely mineral trace. On the palate the wine is spicy and warm, with a good tannicity that accompanies a finish of medium persistence.

Ideal with red meats, it is perfect in the company of medium-long matured cheeses.
