Description
Kron is produced in the splendid vineyards of Fontana Candida, in Monte Porzio Catone, in Lazio. This wine represents one of the flagships of the company.
It is made entirely with Merlot grapes, harvested manually when fully ripe. After a maceration on the skins for 12 days and subsequent fermentation, the wine is left to mature in small oak barrels for at least 12 months. Bottling and aging in glass follows.
It has an intense ruby red color with purple reflections. The nose offers strong flavors of berries, with spicy hints that end in clear notes of tobacco. On the palate it proves an elegant and full-bodied wine, with soft tannins, classic of the grape variety, linked to a noteworthy enveloping.
It goes perfectly with important dishes based on red meats and game. It is also ideal with well-aged cheeses.
