Description
Lugana Annaberta by Cottini is made from Trebbiano grapes, carefully hand-harvested in the first week of September. The grapes are selected and picked by hand, immediately chilled to around 5°C. At the winery, they are destemmed and then gently crushed.
The crushed grapes macerate for 8-10 hours, followed by gentle pressing and natural, cold static clarification of the must. The wine ferments at a low temperature and remains on its lees for about 6 months until bottling.
Straw yellow with greenish highlights in the glass, it reveals on the nose delicate nuances of white flowers, citrus, and tropical fruits, followed by more complex notes of almond and white pepper, ending with a finish of aromatic herbs. The palate is fresh, pleasant, and very well balanced.
Its fresh and inviting aroma makes it the perfect wine for aperitifs, but it also pairs well with appetizers, fish-based starters and main courses, especially lake fish such as trout, perch, and whitefish. Absolutely worth trying with fresh cheeses.
