Description
Barbera del Monferrato di Villa Sparina was born in vineyards located in the municipality of Gavi, in the province of Alessandria.
It is produced with 100% Barbera grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand in the first half of October. Fermentation takes place, with maceration in contact with the skins, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 27 ° C for 2 weeks. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages mainly in barrique and steel for at least 12 months, followed by a further period of aging in bottle.
This Barbera del Monferrato of Villa Sparina has a bright ruby red color, tending to purple. The nose opens with a large and deep bouquet of black cherry and mint, enriched with elegant notes of pepper and vanilla. On the palate full and rich, with pleasant enveloping and softness that accompany a pleasantly long and fruity finish.
Perfect to accompany first courses and aged cheeses, this white wine is ideal in combination with red meat and game.
