Description

The Montecucco Rosso Rigoleto by Collemassari is a Tuscan red wine obtained from a blend of Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, and Montepulciano grapes. The grapes come from vineyards located at 300 meters above sea level on the hills of Montecucco, in an area characterized by diverse exposures and soils composed of fractured sandstone and calcareous-marly clays. The organic approach in the vineyard maximizes the territorial identity and natural freshness of the wine.

The harvest takes place in several stages, starting with the Ciliegiolo, followed by the Sangiovese, and finally the Montepulciano, to ensure balance and aromatic liveliness. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel at controlled temperatures to preserve varietal characteristics. The wine is aged for 9 months in stainless steel, with a small part in cask, before bottling.

In appearance, it has an intense ruby red color. The nose reveals notes of ripe red fruit, while the palate is distinguished by a balance between soft tannins, lively acidity, and good persistence, resulting in a harmonious and pleasantly smooth wine.

It is ideal paired with cured meats and sausages, roasted white meats, and aged cured meats.
